D. J. WRAY
Award Winning Author
Meet D.J.
Born and raised in Utah, D.J. Wray aspired to be a history teacher, but early in her educational process life threw a wrench in the works, and school was no longer an option. Never leaving her passion for writing behind, she continued to pursue learning how to craft a story that would make you laugh, cry, or simply stop and think.
Li'l Bits is her debut novel, and after completing it, D.J. is even more in love with the process of creating stories. She has won numerous short story contests offered by the writing groups she belongs to, and for the past four years has served as the Vice President of the Nebo Novelists chapter of the Utah League of Writers.
The Works
Lil Bits: The Littlest Giant
By all rights, the world really was against Li'l Bits. Born with dwarfism, from her first breath, circumstances seemed to be contriving against her.
In an act of desperation, she is left on a doorstep and fate steps in, to not only her life, but the war-shattered lives of those who end up becoming her family.
For the sake of Li'l Bits, Remy, George, Trinny and Orvalee do their best to set aside personal wounds and trauma. But how does one not bleed to death while trying to open a heart to the kind of love that stretches, expands, and makes things grow?
When one giant heart resides within one diminutive body, miracles happen, proving that when love is what we choose, love is what we receive.
What Readers Are Saying
Captivating Story!!!
Not the kind of story (in my mind) I would have ever just picked up to read... but absolutely couldn't put it down. Interesting and well written, and as deep as you choose to take it!!! Full of life lessons.

I loved being able to escape into the world of Li'l Bits. As I read this book the author brought me into the world of this amazing character, her family and her friends. Li'l Bits had to overcome so much adversity and was able to gracefully do so. I was drawn in to their world so much that I read the book in a matter of days. It was a good reminder of how we can learn from a little child the right ways to treat others and to see the world from their eyes. A great read!

Leaves you feeling good
What a great book, I was easily taken in with the life of "Lil Bits" but what was surprising to me was the intrigue and charm of all the other characters. The author did a great job of character development and I found myself rooting for many of the supporting characters to triumph over loss and heartache that they had experienced in their own lives. This book is a "good for the soul" type of book as we see others including "Lil Bits" triumph in life with the love and support from family and friends. Very well done, touching and enjoyable to read.
